Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on Android in Algeria Q3 2021

The third quarter of 2021 saw notable performances from the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Algeria. Here's a closer look at the trends for the top five apps in this category.

Yassir - Ride, Eat & Shop experienced a fluctuating yet overall positive trend in weekly downloads. Starting at approximately 13.6K downloads in late June, the app saw a significant increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching around 19.6K in the final week of September. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, beginning at about 64.3K and peaking at roughly 72.5K by the end of September.

Heetch - Ride-hailing app showed a steady increase in weekly downloads throughout Q3. Downloads rose from approximately 10.9K in late June to about 18.2K by the end of September. The active user base also grew steadily, starting at around 55.9K and reaching approximately 69.3K by the quarter's end.

Coursa : Request a ride maintained a consistent download rate in the earlier part of the quarter, with a noticeable uptick towards the end. Weekly downloads increased from about 5.2K in late June to approximately 7K by the end of September. Active users saw a similar trend, growing from roughly 13.4K to about 15.8K over the same period.

Careem – rides, food & more had a more varied performance in weekly downloads, starting at around 1.4K and dipping to as low as 595 in early September before recovering to about 901 by the end of the month. Active users, however, remained relatively stable, starting at approximately 42.2K and ending the quarter at around 40.1K.

Amir Go - Chauffeurs pro / VTC showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads from late June through September. Starting at about 3.2K downloads, the app saw a dip in early July but recovered to approximately 1.3K by the end of September.
